I agree that a chicken wing a few times a week, instead of kibble, would be a good addition to your little rescue's diet and will satisfy her in a way that kibble will not.
Perhaps you could consider a prey model raw diet for her?
Pet food manufactures usually buy their supplies from the lowest bidder. This means, even if the formula they are using hasn't changed, the quality of the ingredients in any give batch may have. Many cats can tell the difference. Pet food companies need to know this.
My advice is to contact the on line store you bought the food from and tell them the problem. They will work with you. Also contact the manufacturer. They will probably tell you "we haven't had any other complaints", even if they have had complaints, but still, some manufacturers actually do care though and they will work with you. it's worth the time it takes to send an email.
I have had experience in this, though I don't remember which store it was. I ordered several cases of a food I fed my cats on a regular basis. The food smelled funny when I opened it, and the cats wouldn't eat it. The online store, while they said they had no other complaints, asked me to send back only the labels of all the cans, and they credited me for the return. The company that makes the food also said they had no other complaints and simply suggested I return the food where I bought it, for a refund.
